Learning to made a dagger handle.
Another weekend is already here. Going to Laguna Beach on Sat to meet with David Brunetta, a famous sculptor. Hopefully I will be a good student and not have my blond moments. I'm amazed he made time for me.
I've been 'plurking' today here: http://www.plurk.com/user/zelthehypnoti st It keeps me from being too much of a hermit. I guess Plurk isn't that well known because people keep asking me what I'm talking about. I don't have many friends on there yet so I'm mostly just talking to myself.
I sewed some couch remote control caddies with pockets in them from a tutorial on Threadbanger.com and much to my surprise the creator of the tutorial found me and complimented me on how they came out. I still want to do the 'picture ledge' and the shelf hanging from the tutorial. I've had shelves laying in the bottom of my closet for years because I didn't know how to hang them. And I really need to reclaim the storage space. Shelves don't save you room if they are the item taking up the room on the closet floor. I was a bit worried because the tutorial didn't say anything about finding a stud to screw the shelves into. I don't think you can just screw them up any old place on the wall. Don't they need to be anchored in a stud somewhere?
I have tons of jewelry to work on as well. Started at least 3 freeform Gourd Stitch necklaces. And one of them has an autumn theme so I really want to finish it before autumn is over.
So those are my weekend plans. How about the rest of you guys?
