10:18pm: About this thing they call the Internet
None of us really know the long term effects of the Internet. Will comments we posted when we were 17 still be floating around when we are 65? Will our defunct websites still show up because of some merger that took away our ability to delete our own site? Will sites like Facebook make it easier for abusive exes to stalk us? Do I really want the whole world knowing what high school I went to, when my birthday is and how many kids I had or didn't have? Do I want those kids growing up and reading my blogs? It all becomes so very complicated.

If another country overthrows ours, will the information be used to hold us political prisoners? Scary thought. Already military personnel have had their blogs frozen for letting slip what could be defamatory information or just too much information about some military action.

Gone are the days when we could say,"I'll post whatever I want. No one out there knows me anyway."

8:22pm: No one remembers my birthday anyway so I bought myself a gift.
Sheesh, I'm sure behind on this blog.
Tonight I bought myself a birthday present. I bought two domain names http://www.zenchantress.com for my hypnosis stuff and http://www.luckyharper.com for my psychic mediumship studies. Don't go clicking them yet...it takes at least 24 hours to get them on the system, and then I have to figure out how to build them using a program I haven't even looked at yet. But I think it's a step in the right direction. For a second I was tempted to make one called zombiepenguins.com but believe it or not it was taken.

It's super windy tonight. The upstairs neighbor's doormat was on my porch. Wind chimes are tinkling like crazy. I'm sure people are going to wish they'd taken their Christmas decorations down first thing this morning. They'll be all over the street by tomorrow.

Oh and by the way, my birthday is Jan. 3. I take paypal. HAHAHA.

11:47am: Do you Didge?
My boyfriend and I took a free didgeridoo class yesterday at L.A. Outback. http://www.laoutback.com/didgeridoo/shop/store2.htm?gclid=CJKg_4igso8CFRssawodDm3STA

I pretty much sucked at it but he came home with a new red didge made out of plastic and painted with a dreampath design. It doesn't look or sound like plastic.

4:46pm: Do you write for Helium Knowledge?
It seems Helium Knowledge is really working hard to improve the site so all of us can make money over there. So if they are willing to do that, I think I will start writing for them more often. My 'account' there says I've earned about $13.00. If I double that I can actually request a payment. I used a pseudonym over there so if you want to read my articles, here's the link: http://www.helium.com/user/edit_show_articles/16901
I just wrote about National Novel Writers month (http://www.nanowrimo.org) which starts Nov. 1, 2007. I'm signed up to give Nanowrimo another go. Let me know if you are doing it to so we can be buddies if you want.

6:41pm: Knitting Original Hat Designs
Last night I couldn't sleep so I sat up, turned the light back on, and spotted the knitting graph paper sitting there. So I started doodling some new hat designs. I came up with four or five. My favorite was a design with two monkeys. I think I will add a third monkey and knit a had with that design...

6:49pm: Dancing all over the world.
When I drove to from CA to Pennsylvania for Pennsic in 1997, I stopped in every state and belly danced. Unfortunately, that was before youtube. Look what this guy did with the same idea. http://potw.news.yahoo.com/s/potw/19574/dance-dance-revolution;_ylt=AibhUw4ruPjEE9IQbfn0aFAKwId4
Ready to travel around the world? Anyone want to sponser me? I'd love an opportunity like that. Sure beats laying out a map of the world and dancing on it so you can tell your friends you've danced all over the world.

1:44pm: Blogging Monday
Well, it's blogging Monday again boys and girls. Are you feeling the effects of the full moon? Can't sleep at night? I'm dragging today and it sure feels like Monday.
I found an Etsy shop that sells cowry falls for tribal belly dancing, so I've sent in my request to her. I thought about making some, but I've already got too much on my plate. I'm making these costumes and I don't even have anywhere to belly dance right now. But it's better to be ready when opportunity comes knocking rather than trying to slap something together on a moment's notice.

One of my cat's has digestion problems so I'm keeping a close watch on him today. The vet has tried various things, but nothing works all the time.
If the cat doesn't perk up by tomorrow I may have to take him to the vet yet again. And I hate to drive him there in this heat when he already feels so miserable.

All I really want to do is sit on the couch and read the new Harry Potter book. But I have to work at some point today.
